About US
Quantitative Surgical, a start-up company from the Max Planck Institute for Medical Research, develops unique solutions for the medtech industry – ranging from quantitative assessment of instruments and medical procedures to high performance models for surgical training. Our customers are leading medtech companies, as well as research institutes and universities. The models Quantitative Surgical develops are used world-wide in specialized training courses, including in surgical endoscopy, urology, and full surgical interventions with a post-OP quantitative evaluation. We use revolutionary materials and high-definition imaging and fabrication technologies. This has allowed Quantitative Surgical to develop a full urology phantom, which, according to our customers is the most realistic on the market.
EndoUroPhantom
This trainer has been developed in close collaboration with leading surgeons and representatives from the medtech industry. It is ideal to train endourologic surgeries, as well as a platform to test new instruments.
Some applications:
Training or demonstration Ureteroscopy, e.g., placement of stones at various locations, insertion of guide wire, disintegration of stones, retrieving stones using grippers and baskets, etc.
BPH training including TURP, laser assisted enucleation and morcellation of adenoma in bladder. Complete surgery with the possibility to quantitatively assess several performance parameters.
Endoscopy training in urology, including cystoscopy…
Pre clinical trials and studies to test and validate new instruments.
Prostate model
Prostate models have the size of a benign prostate adenoma (75g) and feature the most realistic anatomy, including a 3-lobular structure. The prostate models complement the EndoUroTrainer and can be ordered separately.
Some applications:
BPH training including laser assisted enucleation,
Electrosurgery such as TURP,
Morcellation in the bladder of adenoma parts,
Assessment of therapy success by visual or ultrasound analysis.
Works with irrigation pre-warmed irrigation fluids.
Bladder model
Realistic bladder derived from real human anatomy is offered as a standalone product, with correct haptics, optical appearance and elasticity. Can include various tumors.
Some applications:
Cystoscopy,
TURBT Training,
PDD Training.
Pre Clinical device testing
We are testing your new device and can develop custom testing protocols and provide qualified assessment using state-of-the-art experimental and theoretical methods.
Looking Forward
We constantly develop new models and setups to test medical instruments and procedures. Our technology allows for fast adaptation to meet the needs of our customers.
